Position Summary:
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and components needed for service. They support the kitchen team by ensuring all prep is completed accurately, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, chop, and portion ingredients according to recipes.
- Prepare sauces, dressings, and other components for menu items.
- Label, date, and store all food properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist line cooks during service as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required – will train the right person.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Good knife skills or willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependable and detail-oriented with a team-first attitude.
